We're officially on the ballot in Pelahatchie:
Filed For Office to Run For Pelahatchie Ward 1 Alderman
On January 15, 2025, I officially qualified to run for Pelahatchie Ward 1 Alderman. For the past twelve years, Pelahatchie has been my home. My wife and I have been married for twenty years, and all four of our children attend Pelahatchie public schools. I’ve spent over twenty-one years working as a plumber, earning a living through hard work, and I’ve also worked as a writer and journalist, keeping our town informed and holding leadership accountable. Now, I’m stepping up to serve in a new way—because Pelahatchie deserves leaders who listen, who fight for the people, and who put our town’s future first. Our town has had the same leadership for years, and it’s time to ask: Who is Pelahatchie really working for? Families like ours face rising costs, struggling infrastructure, and a lack of transparency in local government. We deserve better. We need leadership that represents all of us. That means fixing potholes the right way, ensuring our streetlights work, enforcing ordinances to protect property values, and supporting businesses so they can grow. We need better maintenance of public buildings and parks, more recreational programs for kids and adults, and a no-kill animal shelter to care for the many stray cats and dogs in our community. We need more fast-food options, and let’s be honest—a Waffle House or Cheesecake Factory wouldn’t hurt. Most importantly, we need proactive leadership that addresses problems before they become crises. That’s why I’m running for Ward One Alderman—to bring real solutions to Pelahatchie and make our town a better place for all of us. I’m a proud member of Pelahatchie Baptist Church, and I believe in serving my community with honesty, accountability, and a vision for the future.
