Dear Neighbor,

My name is Shaun McInnish, Sr., and I am running to be your next Ward 1 Alderman in Pelahatchie.

For over a decade, I have proudly called Pelahatchie home. I have raised my family here, worked alongside our community members, and dedicated my time to making our town a better place. Now, I am stepping up to serve because I believe Pelahatchie deserves a transparent, accountable, and effective local government that truly represents its people.

I have spent over 21 years as a plumber, working hard to provide for my family while staying deeply involved in Mississippi politics. As a journalist for a local newspaper, I have covered our local government, attended board meetings, and ensured that our community stays informed. My work has shown me firsthand how decisions are made—and how much better they could be. I am committed to making sure your voices are heard in City Hall.

My campaign is about real solutions for real people. I will work to increase transparency in government, advocate for responsible growth, and ensure that Pelahatchie remains a place where families and small businesses can thrive. As a proud member of the Mississippi Libertarian Party and a founder of the Libertarian Party of Rankin County, I believe in limited government, personal freedom, and policies that serve the people—not special interests.

Beyond politics, I am a husband, a father, and an active member of Pelahatchie Baptist Church. I coach youth soccer, volunteer in the community, and believe in the power of local leadership to create meaningful change.
